Is teeth whitening effective?
Yes. Dr. Maynard prescribes safe, strong home teeth whitening with custom-fitted mouth trays. This system can brighten teeth dramatically while causing little or no sensitivity. Learn more about teeth whitening here.
When should my child start dental visits?
Dr. Maynard recommends children see a dentist before their third birthday. If your children are under the age of three and you have any concerns about their dental health or development we would be happy to see them at any age. While treatment usually isn’t necessary at this age, early childhood visits promote positive future visits. Your child can become accustomed to the sights, sounds, and people at our office by accompanying you to your dental checkups. Once your child’s teeth begin erupting, Dr. Maynard will do a quick and gentle inspection to make sure the teeth are developing properly. It is important that you clean your baby’s mouth and help your toddler brush his or her teeth every day. At your visit, ask Dr. Maynard for advice on good oral healthcare for your child.
My gums bleed. Should I be concerned?
Yes. Bleeding, red, sensitive, or swollen gums can indicate gum disease. About 80% of American adults have some form of gum disease, and it has been linked to serious health problems. If your gums bleed, schedule an appointment with Dr. Maynard.
Does Dr. Maynard accept dental insurance?
