We are especially proud of our hygiene program. Our emphasis is on providing first-class service in a relaxing atmosphere. You will never feel rushed. Our hygienists, Jen, Toni, and Sandee will take the time to discuss any dental concerns you may have, point out any problem areas they may see, and make recommendations regarding the care of your mouth. Since they have many years of experience working with their patients, they can make those recommendations with a personal knowledge of each patient’s unique circumstances.

At each recare visit, your mouth will be checked thoroughly by Dr. Maynard and your hygienist for tooth decay, gum disease, oral cancer, as well as any other conditions that may adversely affect your dental or overall health.

This examination may include digital x-rays for early detection of hidden problems such as damage to your jaw bone, cavities between your teeth, or the presence of abcesses.

In addition, once a year we will carefully measure, on each tooth, the depth of the space between your teeth and gums. This is done to check for gum disease and is especially important since the early detection of gum disease is vital to successful treatment.
