Adults aren’t the only ones who have anxiety when it comes to visiting the dentist office. Kids can also experience a level of fear before a dentist appointment. Why? Unfortunately, the sights and sounds of a dental office aren’t as welcoming as we’d hope, but there are ways to combat that fear and anxiety. By joining Dr. Rina Singh and her team for the next Kid’s Day on February 17, 2020, you can help your child become familiar with our children’s dentist in Camp Hill, as well as all the other members of the dental team working to put your child’s oral health on the right track! Find out how our office strives to help the youngest members of your family feel at ease at the dentist.

What is Kid’s Day?

The next Kid’s Day is scheduled for Monday February 17, 2020! This is a great time to bring your child(ren) into the dentist office for a day full of fun and excitement! The goal of Kid’s Day is to:

  1. Ease any and all fears and anxieties your child might have about visiting the dentist office.
  2. Discuss important at-home dental care with you and your child to ensure good oral habits are developing.
  3. Have fun!

This year’s event theme is a circus, so there will be plenty of fun and games for you and your child to enjoy. We will have a movie playing, a selfie station, multiple games, face painting, and more!

How is Our Office Different?

Finding a family dentist in Camp Hill shouldn’t have to be a difficult task, which is why  Dr. Rina Singh and Dr. John Maynard, and their team strive to make every patient feel warm and welcome upon their arrival. While adults often strive to find a dentist, who is experienced and personable, children want someone who is kind and has a gentle touch.

Not only do we offer a kid-friendly environment with books, a large fish tank, toys, and stuffed animals, but our dental hygienists offer fun and exciting ways for children to get excited about brushing and flossing. Understanding that no child is the same, you can expect your child to receive personalized attention and treatment based on their unique dental needs.

Other ways your dental team can make your child’s experience fun include:

  • Offering instructional videos on various treatments so your child will understand
  • Showing children the tools and equipment used during the procedure, so there are no surprises
  • Providing nitrous oxide to ensure your little one is calm and comfortable during any procedure
  • Allowing children to select a toy from the treasure chest to enjoy after their appointment

If you’re ready to help your child get over their fears of going to the dentist, our team of professionals is ready to help! Join us for Kid’s Day on February 17, 2020! Not only will you and your child have lots of fun, but you’ll learn a lot along the way, too!
